Safety Tips

●Pay special attention to your passport and belongings in public places and beware of pickpockets. Particularly, even when you are distracted by something: searching for keys, your IC card, your phone, and so on, be aware of your surroundings and positions. Watch out for scams; when a stranger asks if you would like your picture taken, you should be careful in case they charge you afterward. When walking on the road, walk on the sidewalk and stay away from a large groups of people.

● Take your valuables with you

You can leave your passport in a safe place in your house, while taking a copy with you. When you must travel with it, make sure it is closely guarded. While it is possible to replace a lost or stolen passport it is very expensive and very inconvenient to resolve.
